Pausing it

Pausing. Being present. Taking the time to review & reflect.

We are drawn toward intertwined abundance and challenges naturally.

I have come to realise that whilst we all want a certain something, the road is never straight rather full of unexpected curved roads laced with trees. For us, that something is our dream custom home, and that road, is the challenges our developer is currently undergoing as our land which was meant to be registered in 1 week, now won’t be for another 2 months (at least!).

So, instead of us getting unsettled or frustrated, we have decided to take this as an opportunity to revisit our custom home plans, what our main drivers are, and how we can essentially tailor the plans to suit that newfound information and reduce cost, even if marginally. Perhaps it’s the universe giving us time to reconsider what it was we thought we needed to realise what it is we actually need.

Time will tell as we try to find some time to focus solely on the drawing review. In the meantime, here are some inspirational images of what we are leaning towards…

  1. Ensuring we have a space for celebrations connected to the outdoors

  2. Playing with materials and finishes for a non-typical and wellness-focused space

  3. Trellises.. need I say more? who doesn’t love a good trellis

  4. Classic finishes with once again, different textures like the 3D tile splash back in this image
